Cockermouth RUFC is fortunate to be officially connected to our nearest Aviva Premiership Club, Newcastle Falcons. This connection enables the youth teams to be entered into various Falcons organised tournaments. The Under 10’s, 11’s and 12’s will all be competing in the New Year at competitions organised by the Falcons. This gives the teams and their coaches an opportunity to experience playing against sides across the whole of Cumbria and Northumbria.

All Cockermouth registered players up to the Under 16’s are eligible for free tickets to watch any Faclons games this season as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. For a list of the Falcons fixtures this season please go to: http://www.newcastlefalcons.co.uk/

Falcons Rugby Camps

The Falcons also regularly have Falcons Rugby Camps aimed at the younger players, 6-16. They aare held mainly within school holidays and the next one closest for us is at Keswick at Easter. For further details go to:

Coach the Coaches Masterclass

It’s not only the connection that benefits the players but there’s something for the coaches too. On Saturday 20th December before the Connact game the Falcons are running a Coach the Coaches Masterclass’. This is an opportunity for coaches to develop their game management by observing the Newcastle Coaches prepare their team on match day. The cost is £50 per coach and includes refreshments, coaching masterclass and tickets for the Connact game.
