Another BUSY WEEK AND A GREAT WEEKEND TO LOOK FORWARD TO
Weekly Round Up
Player of the Week- Luke Green
Well done to Under 10s's player Luke Green who was nominated by his coaches after an outstanding performance last week and scoring a lot of tries in one game.
Launch of 2nd Team
The club are glad to announce we have now launched a second team and were able to get 17 players for the first competition on Friday night. Unfortunately Carlisle cancelled due to the weather but we now have our first fixture organised at home this Saturday v Workingon Zebra's. Please let Chris Wright or Jeff Peet know if you are interested.
Workington Zebra s v Cockermouth
The first team had an excellent performance away at top of the league Zebras. The scoreline of 27-10 is not a reflection of the game at all. It was one of those games where Zebras scored the four chances they had (some given by our own inexperience) and we didn't finish of the many chances we created. The rugby played around the park was outstanding, entertaining and skillfull from the back line and physical up front form the pack.
This weekend is Sponsors weekend with all the local companies who have supported the first team this year via strip sponsors, match day sponsor boards or food/drink support invited up for half time drinks. As follows Travis Perkins, Hunters, Cockermouth Travel, Black Bull, GA Wilson Plasterers, Chambers & Harrison, Wright Sport Services, Lloyds Car Dealership, Lindsays Butchers and the Castle Bar.

Lastly the girls section host an U18 festival on Sunday, 1pm kick off would be great if we could all support this event to see our girls team play.
