Cumbria update - Fantastic support from the Cumbria Community

Wooden Spoon Charity - Vets Fest
Date: Saturday 28th September 2024
Time: 10am till late
Venue:Old Reigatian RFC
Vets Fest was created to bring the rugby family together and give something back for the positive experiences as rugby players and supporters of the game. It is a fantastic event and we would love you to get involved! With your help we aim to raise vital funds which will go directly towards supporting children with disabilities or facing disadvantage in your local communities.

The Cumbria mission to support this event has been a fantastic one, a squad which has changed many times but now represents clubs from all over the county and shows a lot of potential.

As the mission states, it’s not just the rugby but the fund raising that counts, currently thanks to our players family and friends, plus a social event at Cockermouth Rufc our total puts us in 3rd place. We hope our continued fund raising and rugby performance will see us progress this position.

Our Kendal & Kirby Lonsdale based players have this week organised for their clubs to offer up excellent pre game hospitality packages as prizes, look out for these ticket sales and a massive thanks for your generous support. Players are also canvassing their business & networks to give us the best chance of success.

All the players are honoured as their bodies slow down (!) to represent Wooden Spoon Cumbrian Rams and a big thanks to Cockermouth Travel (Paul Cusack) for the sponsorship of Cumbria rep ties.

At the event we are going to look the part in our unique Cumbrian Jerseys thanks to
